This is the most public-facing, drop-in style event. Kirti and Ela lead a guided walkabout through the works, offering insights and inviting final conversations. Entry is free as part of First Thursdays.
Step into a space where art, inspiration, and mindful practice intersect with healing. Experience the artwork of Dr. Ela Manga and Prof. Kirti Ranchod, hear the stories behind the work, and discover how creativity shapes approaches to medicine and wellbeing.
This collection explores the intersection of art, breath, creativity and medicine.
This exhibition marks a milestone - celebrating turning 50 for Ela and Kirti. After first meeting in 1993 as first year medical students at the University of Witwatersrand, they developed an instant and sustaining bond. Sharing cultural roots in Gujarati families in apartheid South Africa and connected to a broader, vibrant and diverse community, their experiences shaped their philosophy…
