WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE?
Integrative medicine is based on the partnership between doctor and patient who are co-creators in the journey of health. It honours the whole person and the inextricable connection between body, mind, and heart. It is a methodology that honours and supports the body’s self-healing ability and draws on the wisdom of ancient traditions and healing methodologies which are informed by evidence.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM AN INTEGRATIVE CONSULTATION
We look at the immediate health concern in the context of all other physical and emotional symptoms, unique body type, and life circumstances. Relief of symptoms is provided in a way that is least invasive and as natural as possible. This may involve the use of herbal or nutritional supplements, neuromuscular stimulation techniques, breathwork, and mindfulness training. Western medicine is prescribed if absolutely necessary. Relevant blood tests or other investigations are ordered as appropriate. A long term strategy is then designed to maintain and support optimum health and a more conscious lifestyle.

Healing Modalities
I work with Western, Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, vitamins, minerals and homeopathic remedies to treat symptoms and correct physiological imbalances. The supplement regime is tailored to suit your individual needs.

Neuromuscular stimulation technique
This is a powerful technique that involves needling and bio puncture with homeopathic remedies into specific energy points and trigger points. It is highly effective for treating muscle spasm, chronic backache, and headaches. It also stimulates the body’s own healing capability and is often used to treat allergies, sinusitis, IBS, chronic fatigue, anxiety, and depression.

BodyTalk
Bodytalk is at the cutting edge of Quantum medicine. It is a safe and gentle energy healing modality that uses muscle testing and specific protocols to communicate the body’s innate wisdom. Imbalances and specific issues that are a priority are brought up and worked on through a tapping technique that supports the body to heal itself.

Breathwork
Breath awareness and conscious breathing is the absolute foundation in the management of health, stress, and energy. It is part of the essential skill set that is required for peak performance, as well as being a powerful methodology for healing and self-awareness. Breathwork sessions will help you build a set of breathing techniques that can be applied in every aspect of your life.
Dysfunctional breathing habits develop over time due to chronic stress, poor posture or past trauma. These unconscious habits in turn exacerbates the stress response and push tension even deeper into the body.

Mindfulness training
Mindfulness is the ability to be aware of, and respond to, your physical, emotional and mental experience without reacting to it from a place of old habits and patterns. Mindful living is an imperative for us to support our health and live more consciously. More and more research is now being done to show the role of mindfulness in medicine. Mindfulness practice has a direct influence on the functioning of the immune system and on the adrenal axis. In the sessions you will be supported to integrate mindfulness into your everyday life.
